Britney Spears is leaving X Factor

The "Hit me Baby one more Time" singer is reportedly leaving X Factor not the end of the season.
It been reported the producers of the show was planning getting rid of her anyway but Britney beat them to the punch. X Factor ratings finale has dropped. X factor ratings were never really a stellar in the ratings compare to The Voice and American Idol so that just the question is American audiences tired of the singing competition shows?
